Oxford House

The Oxford House was built on the state chartered Oxford Turnpike in 1795 by Daniel and Job Candee. It was called the Oxford Hotel. The first post office was kept in the building with Daniel Candee as the first postmaster. For many years, town meetings and elections were held here. It is presently a private home and very popular restaurant.

Continue 0.2 miles on Rt. 67 to the Oxford Grange, which will be on your right.
